After graduating from the University of Utah with an M.A. in Literature, Josh started his career in technology as a technical writer. Over the course of about a decade he continued honing his technical skills, writing documentation for developers, taking tech courses in the evenings, and doing hands-on in development in QA Automation, all while improving his leadership skills managing documentation teams.

In 2006, he shifted to a career in Product (both Product Management and Product Marketing), leading teams at notable companies like Raytheon and Fusion-io. In 2021, he joined SimpleCitizen, a Fragomen company, where he put his skills to work improving Immigration Technology – a mission he is now continuing with BDV Solutions.

Josh enjoys reading, watching movies, attending live theater, and exercising in his free time. He currently resides in Salt Lake City with his wife and two cats.
