Jacob was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee, but he always had a passion and curiosity about international cultures. He spent most of his summers traveling abroad with service and missions organizations that provided medical care in developing nations, and was voted "Most likely to move to a foreign country" in high school. He went on to study International Relations and Political Science at Florida International University, where he discovered and pursued his interests in immigration and refugee legislation. While in college, he worked as a behavior technician in several middle schools, offering emotional support and private tutoring for students suffering from emotional trauma. In 2021, Jacob moved with his wife and daughter to the upstate and began to work in local refugee resettlement before joining BDV Solutions. 

You can often find Jacob at a local coffee shop or enjoying one of the many Greenville parks with his family. He spends the rest of his free time playing guitar, rock climbing, or catching a European soccer game on TV.  He hopes to further his career by continuing to learn about NGO and government influence on the reality of both immigrants and refugees.
