BDV Solutions, LLC ("BDV") is the largest independent third-party provider of EB-3 employee sponsor consulting and case management services in the U.S., focusing on unskilled (entry-level) labor solutions for U.S. businesses. BDV works with the top immigration law firms to assist non-immigrant visa holders to adjust their visa status in the U.S. from an eligible non-immigrant visa to EB-3 permanent residency Green Card and foreign nationals living outside of the U.S. through the Consulate Process. This position will also support other lines of business as we continue to grow and expand.
Position Overview
The Senior Accountant’s role & duties will include developing and maintaining accounting principles and best practices to ensure accurate and timely financial statements, analysis of variances, and forecasting for the business units from top to bottom. In addition, this role will maintain and manage the consolidated reporting for other areas such as accruals, goodwill & intangibles, intercompany, foreign currency, ownership over our international divisions, and others as necessary. This position implements best practices and ensures accrual general ledger and accounting methods adhere to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. This role will also provide support to the Controller and Accounting Manager.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Process journal entries and day-to-day operations into the accounting software, ensuring accuracy and policy procedures.
- Create and analyze liability, asset, and capital accounts by compiling electronic data and required documentation.
- Summarize and prepare financial status and transactions reports, including a profit and loss statement and other necessary reports.
- Play a vital part in the company's financial management, which includes all account reconciliations and reporting to necessary parties.
- Provide ad hoc financial reports, tables, and exhibits as requested.
- Prepare detailed internal financial reports, including researching and explaining significant variances by working closely with various departments and management.
- Assist the Accounting Manager on key accounting tasks/deliverables.
- Investigate and report any inconsistencies or improprieties to the Manager or Controller.
- Assist with annual financial statement audits.
- Prepare and/or reconcile balance sheet accounts as assigned monthly.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of industry-standard accounting principles, best practices, and procedures.
- Proven experience with process documentation of accounting procedures and internal controls in a dynamic environment.
- Possess a thorough understanding of financial reporting and general ledger structure.
- Knowledge of financial consolidations, eliminations, and segment reporting.
- Ability to read and interpret accounting rules and guidance, perform research, and conduct investigations as necessary.
- Excellent written and speaking skills, including preparing and presenting verbal and written reports, presentations, and recommendations.
- The ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet individual goals and deadlines is necessary.
- Excellent time-management, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills.
- Demonstration of the highest level of integrity and trust.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required.
- 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience required. Prior public accounting experience is a plus.
- NetSuite ERP experience a plus.
- Expert user of the Microsoft suite of products, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Strong data analytic and manipulation skills are needed.
- Experience with NetSuite a plus.
- ASC 606 experience a plus.
