Position Overview
You will be able to support TPG teachers in various Florida districts. This position is remote but does require the use of a vehicle to visit school sites.
Duties & Responsibilities
General
- You will serve as a key member of our team on the ground in the United States, coordinating with our team members both domestically and internationally.
- There will be some domestic travel required to school districts within a three-hour drive of your location. Trips will be planned, but comfort driving and flexibility with travel are important.
- You will serve as a primary coordinator between principals in the United States, our team, and the teachers. You will need to be quick with phone & email, thorough, and organized to keep the process moving forward.
- You will be working with teachers from all over the world. You must be comfortable speaking to people from many different backgrounds, engaging with them, and getting to know them as you guide them through this process. Patience and kindness are the most important characteristics you can possess.
- You will act as a resource for teachers, answering questions and helping support them throughout arriving in the United States, finding housing, and settling into school. You will act as a guide and sounding board for these teachers. You will need to build strong relationships with them by listening and caring.
- You will assist teachers with developing classroom management plans and strategies appropriate to the individual school and wider district discipline progression plan.
Summer
- This position will be busiest in the summer months when we prepare for the teachers’ arrival and then support their transition in July, August, and September.
Academic Year
- You will spend significant time using online tools such as Gmail, Google Drive,Asana, Microsoft Office Suite, MailChimp, Adobe e-sign, and others.
- Informally observe (non-evaluative) lessons and provide feedback for a teacher's professional growth and students' success.
- Provide feedback and resources to teachers struggling with classroom management.
- Build strong relationships with TPG teachers and administrators.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities related to instruction and classroom management in all content areas as assigned by the supervisor.
